No Knead Bread
What You’ll Need:
3 Cups all purpose flour*
1/4 tsp yeast
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups hot water
(not boiling…if you’re unsure if it’s hot enough or too hot it should be between 125-130 degrees)
*You can do a mix of white and whole wheat flour
What You’ll Do:
In a large mixing bowl stir together your dry ingredients.
Add in your hot water and stir until it is well combined.
Cover with plastic wrap and allow it to sit on counter for at least three hours or overnight.
(The dough is ready to use when it becomes bubbly and is puffy (doubled in size.)
When you are ready to bake your bread place your dutch oven in the oven and preheat to 450 degrees.
While the oven preheats remove your dough from the bowl and place it on a lightly floured surface.
Sprinkle a little more flour onto the dough and shape it into a ball, careful not to overwork the dough.
Carefully place the dough onto a piece of parchment paper.
Cover with a towel and let rest until the oven is ready.
Using the parchment paper lift the bread and place into the dutch oven.
Cover with the lid and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
If your bread is not quite as brown as you would like remove the lid and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes but I would check the color at the 25 minute mark so as not to overbake the bread.
The temperature of the loaf should be 190 degrees.
